Glint privacy policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026 (version 1.0) · App: Glint (ai.lazycode.glint) · Developer: Lazycode

Glint puts a small coloured light on the edge of your screen when a notification arrives from an app you chose. To do that it reads those notifications on your phone. It never stores the text of a notification and never sends it anywhere. There are no ads and no account.

Notification access

Glint asks for Android's notification access so it can see when a notification arrives. It reads notifications only from the apps you add in Glint. For those apps it uses the app name, the sender, the message text and the time, and only on your phone, to do three things: draw the light, decide its colour (for example a colour for one person or one word you set), and show the peek panel with the notification when you swipe the light.

Glint does not save notification text, senders or keywords to storage, and does not send them to us, to Google or to anyone else. They are held in memory only while the notification is active, and they are gone when you clear the notification or close Glint. What Glint does save on your phone are your own settings: which apps you added, their colours and styles, and the people and words you chose for custom lights.

Display over other apps

Glint uses Android's "Display over other apps" permission only to draw the light on the screen edge and the peek panel. It does not read what is on your screen.

Usage access (optional)

If you turn on Quiet while watching, Glint asks for usage access so it can tell which app is open and hold the lights while you watch a video or play a game. This is optional and asked for only when you open that feature. The name of the open app is used on the spot and is not stored or sent anywhere.

Analytics and crash reports

Glint uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to learn which features are used and to fix crashes. They collect:

They never include notification content, senders or keywords. You can turn analytics and crash reports off at any time in Settings > Help improve Glint. This data is processed by Google under Firebase's privacy terms. We never sell it and never use it for ads.

This website

The Glint website at glint.lazycode.ai uses Google Analytics to count visits and to report page errors. It does not collect notification data, and it has no account or sign-in.
